Carla Pieterman
Bringing a wealth of experience in creating rare cancer patient cohorts for clinical research, Carla Pieterman knows the value of collaboration. Carla is a endocrinologist by training, with a special interest in patients with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN1).
She believes that innovations come when strengths are combined and parties are working on a common goal. By combining the UMC Utrecht’s strengths and focus with external parties’ priorities, she aims to enable new and established teams to reach their collaborative goals.
Within U-TRIAL, Carla has a special interest in RWE, patient cohort logistics within UMCU’s electronic health record Hix SC, and solutions for expediting identification of eligible patients to enhance and fast-track research.
