Join us at the “Preventive Health Conference - Just Transitions”, organised by the institute 4 Preventive Health (i4PH) part of the alliance between Eindhoven University of Technology, Wageningen University & Research, Utrecht University, and the University Medical Center Utrecht (EWUU alliance)
Amid rising anthropogenic threats, increased longevity, and the escalation of chronic conditions in later life, transitioning from curative to preventive healthcare is essential—a sentiment widely acknowledged.
But is it as simple as “just” that? During this conference, we will explore what steps are truly needed to achieve the necessary transformations. What resources and collaborations are essential to drive this change? How can we ensure that these shifts are equitable and do not exacerbate existing health disparities? In other words, how do we ensure these shifts are “just” for everyone?
Agenda: Keynotes and Interactive Breakout Sessions
Get inspired by keynote speakers who will tackle the pressing question of how we can truly transform our health system to prioritise prevention. From understanding transitions to rethinking the business case for prevention and embracing “Brilliant Failures” as a source of innovation, these sessions will challenge your perspectives and motivate you to be part of the change.
In the afternoon, dive into hands-on breakout sessions that put collaboration at the center. Expect lively discussions, new connections, and practical insights. Choose from one of the following breakout sessions:
- Collaborating for youth resilience and just transitions
- Co-creating healthy and just living environments
- Living with disease—inclusive and ethical approaches to prevention
- Future-proofing care for older adults—innovative approaches to impact and health
- Navigating transitions—building future competencies through collaboration
Who is this Conference for?
