Biography

Biography

Martin Fast studied physics at the University of Heidelberg (2005-2010). From 2010-2013 he conducted his PhD studies on “New Methods for Motion Management During Radiation Therapy” at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg. After postdoc appointments at The Institute of Cancer Research - Royal Marsden hospital in London (2013-2016) and the Netherlands Cancer Institute - Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital (2017-2019), Dr Fast was appointed as associate professor in the radiotherapy department of the UMC Utrecht in 2019. Dr Fast’s main research interest is the development of MRI-guided real-time adaptive radiotherapy. He is currently the (co-)author of approximately 45 peer-reviewed publications with more than 1200 citations. A full list of publications is available on GoogleScholar.
